Staff growth milestones
In the year 2000, Ceridian in Mauritius started its activities with ten employees and has since expanded its service delivery to encompass both software application development and operations in managed payroll for its global customer base. More than 700 staffs now deliver to Ceridian in the UK, US and Canada.

Office changes
Ceridian in Mauritius is currently operating from the high tech Cyber Tower building, where it occupies the whole of the ninth floor. This is a long way from its humble beginnings in 2500 sq. feet of office space in Travel House, Port Louis! It then leased premises at the BAI Building, which was quickly outgrown by the middle of 2004. Ceridian in Mauritius then had growth plans that could only be accommodated at Cyber Tower, which was really the catalyst for our expansion.

Operational expansion
During the first three years of operation in Mauritius we were only delivering to UK customers. Our North American colleagues then began to see the benefits that offshoring to Mauritius could bring. So we embarked on geographical expansion as well as functional expansion, which included moving into new areas like the support of our CRM tool, Siebel, and a host of other back office tasks.


Brand Leadership in BPO Award

On December 14, the AIPS (Africa India Partnership Summit) presented Ceridian Mauritius with the Brand Leadership in BPO Award recognizing the best organization in the Mauritius BPO industry. This award is given to companies which have demonstrated excellence in mind share, market share and commitment share. The AIPS includes India and 61 African countries.


BPO Company of the Year Excellence Award

On December 28, Ceridian Mauritius proudly accepted a new award. The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT), in collaboration with the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA), presented Mauritius with the first edition of the ICT Excellence Award 2011 where Ceridian won the BPO Company of the Year Excellence Award 2011. This award recognizes BPO, Call Center or IT Enabled Services organization that has shown leadership in adopting HR best practices, promoting of the sector globally and contributing in the expansion of the ICT/BPO sector.
